• 1 kg basmati rice
  • 2 small onions (sliced)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 inch stick cinnamon
  • 1 green chilly
  • ghee for frying
  • 1 maggie cube (Chicken or vegetable stock can be used instead)
  • Salt to taste

Yellow Rice

Preperation

  1. Heat ghee in a vessel and fry the sliced onions till golden brown. Add the cloves, cinnamon, green chilly, maggie cube and turmeric powder.
  2. Add the rice and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Finally add the water and cook on a slow flame till rice is done.
